Flute and voice improvisations using loops and effects inspired by a selection of paintings by Italian New York based artist Federico de Francesco. When I visit New York, I often sleep among his paintings, so know them well and love their energy, colour and rhythm. Federico is also a musician, so his paintings are filled with melody. These pieces are created from a series of live improvisations broadcasted live from London between 31st May and 6th June 2020.
