This is the beginning of Bird Radio. Performed in Herefordshire in June 2009 - this is a live performance by Bird Radio recorded by Emmanuel Lorien Spinelli. Bird Radio improvises with birds in the wild using a plastic treble recorder. This instrument responds well to overblowing techniques, vocal techniques and circular breathing as it only requires a small amount of air. During this 12 minute improvisation birds were circling overhead and seemingly responding to the sounds of the recorder, and it to them.
